Happy October! With the crisp chill in the air and the leaves starting to make their transition, it’s officially starting to feel like fall!

It was incredible to have so many inspired chefs and food lovers in town over the weekend for the first Colorado Chef’s Collaborative Summit. The weather gods shined down upon us for our picnic lunch on Monday, holding off the torrential downpour until just minutes after everyone finished their last sandwiches, salads and bites of chocolate, and had headed off to their afternoon education sessions. We want to thank all of the farmers, producers and volunteers who helped to make the luncheon possible – we feel pretty lucky to be a part of such an incredible food community here in Boulder!

Just a few quick delicious items for this week’s agenda…

Beer and CheeseFriday Night Dinner: It is once again time for a Friday night feast and this week we’re switching it up a little bit to honor the Great American Beer Festival taking place down in Denver over the weekend. There is not much better then pairing good beer with good cheese, until you add a beer brat and fresh baked pretzel bun into the mix. This Friday, for $36 for 2, you will get Tomyknocker beer brats, fresh baked Das Pretzel Factory Pretzel buns, Cured’s house made peach-jalapeno mustard, MM Local Kraut, and 2 cheeses paired with 2 Colorado craft brews.

Fresh Pasta Wednesday: Wednesday might just be our new favorite night of the week because it means Brad’s freshly rolled pasta is coming home for dinner. It’s easy to forget just how good freshly made egg pasta can be…it’s like an entirely different ingredient all together. Rich, flavorful, toothsome and filled with incredible flavors and tastes, it makes pasta night one to look forward to. Tonight we’re going to be enjoying freshly made tortellone filled with artichoke, lemon, herbs, and Fruition Farms’ sheep milk ricotta. $14 feeds two happy people!

American Cheese Month: Here in the cheese world, October is an exciting month as it is dedicated to celebrating American artisanal cheesemakers. With our focus is on American cheeses and all the delicious goodies coming out of the good ol US of A, we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the things that we love all month long. In honor of this monthly celebration, we’ll be tasting a different American cheese daily, telling its story and offering 10% off that cheese for the day. Come in, try some new cheeses, and learn a bit more about the inspired world of American artisanal cheese!
